Greetings Dancers:   May 14, this coming Saturday evening, I will be teaching the River Waltz which can be done as a Line Dance or a Flow Dance at the Tuscola Friendship Dance. The lesson will be from 7:30-8:00 followed by a fun time of dancing to many different genres of music for dancing until 10:30. I just lvs2dnc.party. I am personally inviting you to come and join with me. Shirley always has a wonderful array of delicious snacks and beverages for everyone which are included in the admission price. FRIDAY NIGHT how2dnc.country DECATUR MOOSE MAY 13 & 27 & more

Greetings Dancers: I am excited to be able to put a few of the pieces back together again. I am sending this to all of my dance friends because I want everyone to know I am running full speed ahead. I have my new PA System so that I can travel and dance the evening away with all of you. Please be patient, however; since this is all a work in progress. I plan on enjoying the journey. I had my first lvs2dnc.party in Peoria with great success. Carol got the prize for coming the furthest. Charleston to Peoria is a bit of a drive but everyone in Peoria was glad she did. Dancers travel and meet a whole lot of very nice people. I am in the process of making arrangements to have lvs2dnc.party in the Springfield area very soon. The Decatur Moose has rented me space for two Friday nights each month to hold a dance that I am calling how2dnc.country. I can't help it....I just like these names. Myself or a guest instructor will teach a Line or Patterned Partner( I call these Flow because they go around the room usually and can be done without a partner if you don't happen to have one) Dance starting at 7:00. Immediately following the lesson I will be taking requests and playing songs that go to a lot of line dances and flow dances. You can do free style waltz, chacha, swing, rumba etc. to these songs if you do not know the other dances being done. We will have a dance floor etiquette so that we can get as many people out on the floor as possible. You will enjoy the very nice wood dance floor. Come on out and join us if you want to get a feel for how the country dance works. There will be a $6 cover charge. They do have a bar where we can order drinks of all types and bottled water. Food is served until 7:00 so if you come early you can have a Taco Salad for the month of May. On May 14, June 11 and July 9 I will be the guest DJ for the Tuscola Friendship Dance held at the Tuscola Community Center. I have been doing a Line Dance Lesson at 7:30 with the dance following until 10:30. I play a variety of music conducive to either Swings, Waltz, Rumba, Nightclub two-step, Country two-step, Tango and certain Flow dances that the country people enjoy. The main objective is to keep as many people on the dance floor as possible. Many of us Countrified people are learning to do our dances to different songs that are being played. It works most of the time. Hope this is helpful so that you can mark your calendars and be able to participate. I encourage you to get a car load and have a fun filled evening. We have a really super time on the way home from these dances sharing the names of our new friends, where they were from and on and on and on. I usually have my Pod along and DJ in the car with songs that we like to sing along with, sort of mobile karaoke. Sure makes the time go by fast. I have to limit the requests to get them all in. LVS2DNC.PARTY APRIL 30 7-11 PEORIA BODYFITNESS, INC.

Greetings to All:  I am so missing all of you! Please believe me when I say that I am moving around trying to make our dances as fun, handy and good for All of us. Abraham, owner of the Peoria Bodyfitness has encouraged me to use his wonderful facility to bring all of us and new dancing friends together for a fun filled evening. He has the information posted on his wonderful website, so please go to it and see all that he has going on plus the details for the Sat. April 30 Lvs2dnc.party. www.fitndance.com I am really looking forward to seeing all of you who can come. I am traveling around the state so that it is easier for some of you. I will be teaching a West Coast Swing beginning lesson with the goal of being able to do the WCS Mixer that we usually do. That means we will go over Push Break, Leftside Pass, Under Arm Turn, and Whip. Will we be doing it perfectly? Probably not. Will we have fun learning it? Most Definitely!!! The lessons is from 7-8:00. The dance will be from 8-11:00. I will have a mix of music for hopefully everyone. I will play a few line dances that everyone can enjoy. The cost is $8/per person for the lesson and dance, $5/per person for the dance only. Join me for an evening of great music and wonderful friends.
