All About Country Dancing Friday June 1 & 22 Decatur Moose

The How2dnc.Country Dance is this Friday night June 1 & 22 at the Decatur Moose, 3190 Woodford St.. No membership is necessary.   ONLY $6.00   Doors open at 6:30 pm   At the bar, soda, mixed drinks, wine, water, etc., and if you ask they will cook a pizza for you. Dinner is served earlier. You can bring snacks to share if you would be so generous. We all love your snacks.    Please come early so we can start the lesson promptly at 7:00-7:45. The lesson is free with admission. This week George & Sandy Washbond will be reviewing the dance they taught last week call the Sweetness of You Love. The line dance they will be teaching this week is Cadillacs and Cavier. Don't miss out!   Hope to see you all there!!!!!   Next weekend Jo & I & the Washbonds are attending a dance workshop in Cape Girardeau, Mo.. If you are interested in going, I will have the information at the desk with Jo. These workshops are very informative, with great teachers, and really nice people. Junior Willis from Bean Station TN is the best...like great dances and lots of fun. John & Frieda Utzig from South Beloit IL have attended our dance at the Moose. Alice Daugherty from Shepardsville KY taught the dance Mojo Mambo that you all love so much.   This workshop is June 9 and includes lunch, dinner and the evening dance. Every Wednesday Night come to the VFW#755 2211 Old Jacksonville Rd Springfield IL   ALL ABOUT DANCE DJ & INSTRUCTOR MARILYN FERRY   The cost of $5.00 will  cover the  following: * Early PRACTICE  from 6:30 - 7:00 pm * LINE DANCE LESSONS from 7:00 - 8:00 pm * OPEN Dancing from 8-10:00pm       During open dancing we will play all types of music.....Waltz, Swing, Foxtrot, Country Two-step, Group dances, Night-club Two-step.   The VFW#755 has a bigger dance floor and we are able to support a local organization that supports our military. FRIDAY NIGHT FLASH...GEORGE & SANDY WASHBOND TEACHING @ how2dnc.country

Dancers Don't Miss Out:   ALERT.....George and Sandy Washbond are teaching Friday night(May 18) at the Decatur Moose for how2dnc.country. Name of the dance is The Sweetness of Your Love to the song by L.U.S.T. called Sweetness of Your Love. This dance is a four wall 32 count stationary pattern partner dance. You do Not have to have a partner to do this dance or singles are welcome to do this dance. The lesson starts at 7:00. Open dance from 7:45 -10:00.   Last dance I taught Mojo Mambo. I will just go over it briefly before we dance it tomorrow night.   Mark June 1 & 22 on your calendars for How2dnc.Country at the Moose. We all have a wonderful time dancing on their nice wood floor. We take tables down and make the dance floor larger than usual. A big Thank You goes out to everyone who comes and helps to make the evening a big success. Also, we all appreciate the people who lovingly prepare snacks to bring and share. The members of the Moose are really impressed with how well and how long we dance. Yeah!!! the VFW is already working with us on allowing us to start at 7:00. I am very pleased with that and hope you all realize how special it is to have this location. Please pass the word and I look forward to seeing those of you who can make it. This will be a lot more work since I really need to take my PA System but We are worth it. I am really excited to be able to continue and have a bigger space for dancing. You will love it! I know everyone will not know we can start at 7:00 but that's ok. See you when you get there. Friday Night IN Bloomington at the New LaFayette Club!!!!!

Greetings All You Dancers Out There: I want to mention to you that I will be the DJ for a dance called The Ultimate Social Dance in Bloomington on Friday  May 11, at the New LaFayette Club on 1602 South Main St. As usual, we will have a variety mix of all types of dance music. A swing lesson will be from 7-8 taught by someone from the college and The Ultimate Social Dance from 8-11:00. Bring a car load and join the party. Many of you came to the Mix It Up Dance in April and met a large group from Bloomington that traveled to Springfield to dance with us. Let's show them how much we appreciate them having dances also.    I would like to see each and everyone of you. Those of you who learned the ChaCha Del Rio at Mix It Up are welcome to show up Thursday night at Donnie B's and I can go over the dance again for you. We will also be doing Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Hustle and Night-Club. All types of dances and fun are waiting for us. Last Thursday night at Donnie B's

Greetings Dancers:   This Thursday night will be our last dance at Donnie B's. Please feel free to bring snacks to share with everyone including the bartender and waitresses. They have all been so welcoming to us and we are going to miss them. Last week was a super time and thanks to all of you who showed up to make our lesson really fun for the Channel 20 recording. I will let you know when it is to be aired.   This is not our last dance. Next week we will meet at our new location and evening. Dance Update May 3, May 4, May 11 and May 18

Greetings Dancers,   Here is an update for what is coming. All About Country Dancing(How2dnc.Country) will be held this Friday May 4 and May  18 at the Decatur Moose Lodge at 3190 N. Woodford. As always, you do not need to be a member. I rent the room with a nice wood dance floor. Also, as some of you know, you do not hear all country music and our dance floor is big enough to allow all types of dances. I am very much in favor of all types of dances and music. The Line Dances and Pattern Partner Dances bring a really fun energy to a dance and give the people who are single a way to dance most of the evening. Lead and follow dances are also encouraged and I will play songs to facilitate them. The snacks you all bring are a wonderful addition to the dance. The Moose bar is open all evening for our use.   This Thursday evening I will be teaching Line Dances from 7-8 at Donnie B's at 2937 W. White Oaks Drive, followed by open dancing from 8-10. We have the privilege of having the media from Channel 20 coming out to see what we are all about. I hope you will come and show them how much fun dancing can be. Please do not stay away because they are coming. This is an opportunity to share our passion for dancing with our community.
