Greetings Country Dancers:   I am sending this email to my Country Dance List to encourage you to take this opportunity to learn West Coast Swing if you are interested. The information is in the email included below. If you have any questions feel free to call me or email.  Next Friday, June 7, we will be celebrating All About Country Dance at the Moose in Decatur from 7-10:00. Please mark you calendar and join the good time of dancing. We take tables down and make the dance floor bigger so we can really enjoy ourselves. Consider yourself invited and important to make the party complete. As you all know, I spent a month in Florida this last winter. During that time we took Line Dance Lessons at the Watering Trough in Largo. Donna Manning does a super job teaching there. One evening they recorded a Line Dance we learned called Waltzing at Twilight. It is beautiful and I worked really hard at learning it fast. During this time we will have basic moves and footwork with rhythm practice. You will have  music suitable for beginning dancers. The basics are the foundation of the dance which can be built on as we progress. During the next 45 minutes we will enjoy learning how to use our basics to create our dancing styles. This class from 6-6:45 will require that you know how to execute the basic steps Push Break, Left Side Pass, Right Side Pass, Starter Step, and the eight count Whip. The rest of the evening is for practice. Dancing to music using the things we have learned and having fun doing it. As we master some of the things we are learning, it becomes even more fun.   Class will be held June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, July 7, and July 14. We will start at 5:00 and dance until 8 or 8:30.  It will be $36 for the whole series of lessons and the dance time. Location is the VFW on Old Jacksonville Road in Springfield.   Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
