Calling all dancers! Just a note to remind you that I will be teaching a Line Dance called Pink Shoelaces and one called Rio this Wed at the VFW. You will like them both. Come on out and join the fun from 6:30-9:30.

 

The good news is that we are having the All About Country Dance in Decatur at the Moose (you do not have to be a member) this Friday evening. The lesson starts at 7:00 by your truly. I hope to see all of you since I need a good fix of a time with my country dancing friends. Bring your enthusiasm, dancing shoes, requests, and I guarantee you we will be tired and filled with joy when the evening is over. Oct 4, Friday from 7-10, the Decatur Moose.

The additional news is that we are having the Mix It Up Dance at the VFW Saturday Sept 21 from 7-11. The lesson starts at 7:00 by yours truly Marilyn Ferry. I will be teaching the basics of Night-Club Two with a real nice amalgamation. I hope to see all of you since I so enjoy our time together on the dance floor. Bring your enthusiasm, dancing shoes, requests, and I guarantee you we will be tired and filled with joy when the evening is over. By the way, Ladies, we have two dance hosts coming from Champaign to dance with all of you!!!

The schedule for Oct and Nov for the Wednesday evening Line Dance and Flow Dance Lessons is every Wednesday evening at the VFW Springfield from 6:30-10 except Nov 23 when the VFW is putting on a Thanksgiving dinner for the veterans.

Just a note to remind you that the VFW has us(Wednesday evening Line Dancers) scheduled from 6:30 until 10:00.There is nothing that takes precedence over us so there are, yes, I said yes lessons this Wed Sept 18. That is the Good news. Oh, if you what to get a Bday card for Jan Humphrey, feel free to do so. Her birthday was  last Sunday.

No lessons Wed Sept 11 VFW---- Yes Sept 13 Decatur Moose All About Country

Calling all dancers! Just a note to remind you that the VFW has a military event that takes precedence over us so there are no, yes, I said no lessons this Wed Sept 11. That is the bad news.

 

The good news is that we are having the All About Country Dance in Decatur at the Moose (you do not have to be a member). The lesson starts at 7:00 by George and Sandy. They will be teaching the flow dance called Under the Moon. I hope to see all of you since I need a good fix of a time with my country dancing friends. Bring your enthusiasm, dancing shoes, requests, and I guarantee you we will be tired and filled with joy when the evening is over. Sept 13, Friday from 7-10, the Decatur Moose.

Greetings Dancers:

 

This is a special Wed dedicated to the wonderful love and friendship of Jo Hays. Jo has been a good friend since 2000 when I started dancing. She dragged me to Wed night dances when I didn't feel very loved or important to anyone. She understood a lot of what I was going through at the time. She has supported me ever since and has done wonderful things for the dance community. We all want to share this time of excitement for her on this new wonderful journey to  Phoenix Arizona.

 

 

We will be dancing as usual but I thought it would be nice to bring finger foods...be it hot or cold, sweet or salty, you can bring anything you would like. I think it would be a good time to review dances and just have fun dancing.

 

Also it will be a good time to come, since we will not be meeting on Wed evening for three weeks. I am going to be on a trip to Northern Michigan for a week and a half and the VFW is booked for a Military event the third week. That being said, there will be NO Wed night lessons Aug 28, Sept 4 & Sept 11. No lessons those three weeks. There will be a All About Country Dance at the Decatur Moose Sept 13 which we will all be ready for with the long break. That will be Sept 13, Friday, at the Decatur Moose and George and Sandy will be teaching Under the Moon again. It is a wonderful dance! The dates for the rest of the year are Friday Oct 4, Nov 1, Dec 6 at the Moose in Decatur.

 

George and Sandy Washbond will be teaching their classes starting Sept 24 through Nov 26 on Tuesday evening from 7-9. There is a $3 pay as you go fee. Classes are held at 600 East McDonald St in Mt Pulaski IL. We can car pool from the Road Ranger.

 

Also, there is a wonderful one day workshop held in Jacksonville on Oct 12, 2013 put on by the County Line Dance Club. There is a $45 fee for all of the lessons, Lunch and Dinner, and Open Dance that evening. You won't want to miss this one. I will have sheets for you Wed evening for this as well.
