Greetings Dancers This is truly a very Happy New Year to all of you! I want to personally thank each and everyone of you for your enthusiasm, kindness, sharing your love of dancing, and willingness to learn, share and welcome others into the dancing community. I feel so blessed for our health and healing. Your love strengthens and nurtures me. All that being said.....we have some dancing to be done. Thursday night at Donnie B's in Spfld. I will be teaching line dances from 7-8. Following the lesson time, from 8-10 we have a super fun time doing whatever dances work for us for that evening. I have to say I can tell we are all improving because we are dancing just for the sheer joy of it. We have had some good crowd participation also. Your dancing is very impressive. This Friday night will be the last How2Dnc.Country before I leave on my winter get away. We will have a lesson at the beginning of the dance from 7-7:45. Then we will dance until 10:00. This is called Country because priority is given to the Pattern Partner and Line Dances. That being said.....I encourage any and all of you to come. The music is by no means all country and there is a lead and follow dance that can be done to each and everyone of the songs played. The Moose in Decatur has a nice dance floor with plenty of room for all types of dances. You are welcome to bring snacks to share and the bar is open all evening to us. Membership is not required. If it sounds like I really want you to come join me, you are correct....I do. I guess I am selfish in that I like to be able to enjoy time with you dancing, singing and playing music. The theme for this February 18 will be " The Un-Valentines Dance". Greetings Dancers:   Let's go to the County Line Christmas Dance Party tomorrow night Dec 17. If you are so inclined, a group of us are meeting at the Steak & Shake in the Meier Mall area at 5:15pm for a light dinner. I know this is a busy time of the year, but take time out for socializing and dancing with a great group of people. Actually, I like to spend time with all of you. FRIDAY NIGHT FLASH...GEORGE & SANDY WASHBOND TEACHING @ how2dnc.country

Dancers Don't Miss Out:   ALERT.....George and Sandy Washbond are teaching Friday night December 9th at the Decatur Moose 3190 N. Woodford for how2dnc.country. Name of the dance is Baby Doll Waltz to the song by Lisa Brokop called "Shake Me, I Rattle" on CD Christmas for the 90's, Vol 3. This dance is a 48 count 2 wall beginner/intermediate line dance. . The lesson starts at 7:00.   Our scheduled dates for the first quarter of 2012 will be Jan 6, Feb 17, March 2 & March 16. Mark these on your calendars so you can share this great time of dancing.   Jacksonville County Line Dancers are having their Christmas Dance on December 17. Last month we had 28 dancers travel together to join them for a fun time of celebrating life on the dance floor. Talk about the plans this Friday. Week of Nov 14 Millikin Lessons, Donnie B's Lessons, how2dnc.country Moose Decatur

Greetings Dancers:   Just a little lineup for the coming week as far as where I will be and what will be happening. Monday night lessons are really exciting. Dancing takes place in the Parquet Room on the lower level of Richards Treat University Center(RTUC) located in the middle of the Millikin Campus in Decatur. We are there at 6:30 for anyone who has questions or wants to review a dance or just fun around. Line dances are taught from 7-8. Next we spend an hour learning and practicing West Coast Swing. Most of the students are sooo very excited about learning a new dance as interesting as West Coast Swing. Our main objective is to have fun while we are learning. Anyone and everyone is welcome no matter what your level of experience. The cover charge is $5 for the evening.   Tuesday night I will be at Donnie B's located in Springfield at the Dog House. From 7-8 we do as many Line Dances as we can do. I personally believe that these dances help you to raise you level of dancing in a very unique manner. Try it...you might be pleasantly surprised. Then from 8-10 the floor is open to whatever the attendees enjoy and desire. I have a good mix and am flexible with our agenda. West Coast Swing is a thread throughtout the evening. Cover charge is $5 for the evening. I will mention that we will probably be meeting on Thursday nights instead of Tuesday starting December 8. I will send out another email etc. but mark your calendars now.   This Friday, Nov 18, I will be at the Moose in Decatur for the how2dnc.country event from 7-10. Taco Salads or Chicken Strips are served to you in the room where we dance. The bar is open to everyone. George and Sandy will review the dance you all liked  so much, Here For A Good Time, and if time allows I will teach a Line Dance called Dreams done to Quando Quando. We always have a good time and I appreciate all of you coming together to celebrate the gift of Dance. A special thanks to each and everyone of you. Bring your treats to share if you like.
