Yes Lessons this Wed. July 18

Alert.....Yes, we are having lessons this Wednesday. We will not have lessons July 27 & Aug 1. I will be visiting National Parks ( The Bad Lands, The Black Hills, Yellowstone, and the beautiful Parks in Utah. We even have a Passport Book that you use just like a real Passport...stamps etc. We had the most helpful young male clerk in the Lincoln Home area visitor center. So much to see and learn and soooo little time. We will have lessons starting Aug 8, 15, 22, 29 and on into the fall months. There will be NO  Friday Country dances during the month of August since I will be traveling to different dance workshops around the country. Mark your calendars for Oct 27 to attend a Saturday Line & Flow dance workshop in Jacksonville put on by County Line Dancers. Any questions...please call or email me! All About Country Dancing Friday July 13 Decatur Moose

LAST DANCE FOR SUMMER The How2dnc.Country Dance is this Friday night July 13 at the Decatur Moose, 3190 Woodford St.. No membership is necessary.   ONLY $6.00   Doors open at 6:30 pm   At the bar, soda, mixed drinks, wine, water, etc., and if you ask they will cook a pizza for you. Dinner is served earlier. You can bring snacks to share if you would be so generous. We all love your snacks.    Please come early so we can start the lesson promptly at 7:00-7:45. The lesson is free with admission. This week I will be teaching a beginner line dance called Chicks Rock. Alvin & Sheila learned this dance at a Denver Country dance and brought it back for us. Don't miss it!   Hope to see you all there!!!!!   No Friday dances in August. I will be negotiating with the Moose and VFW for dates. I will let you know as soon as I have a go ahead. Also mark October 27 on your calendar for a day workshop in Jacksonville. This is a good chance to attend a workshop without overnight costs. All About Country Dance w/DJ Marilyn Ferry VFW Spfld July 6 Friday

Happy Fourth of July!   ALL ABOUT COUNTRY DANCE - FRIDAY JULY 6, 8-11:00PM Spfld VFW#755 2011 Old Jacksonville Rd Great Food, Music, Dancing   Food is served from 5:30-7:30pm. Full menu with sandwiches,(hamburgers, pork tenderloins, etc.) fish dinners,(walleye, catfish, fried & baked Cod) & horseshoes. Dinners are served with potato and salad bar. Price for the dinners is approx. $7.50-$8. Full bar and open to the public. Let's show these soldiers we support them.   It was a great time.....Free lesson with paid admission of $6.     NO DANCE on JULY 4   See you on the dance floor   Marilyn   P.S. June 27 Wed night Line Dance Lessons with Open Dancing After..Nothing July 4

Every Wednesday Night come to the VFW#755 2211 Old Jacksonville Rd Springfield IL   ALL ABOUT DANCE DJ & INSTRUCTOR MARILYN FERRY   The cost of $5.00 will  cover the  following: * Early PRACTICE  from 6:30 - 7:00 pm * LINE DANCE LESSONS from 7:00 - 8:00 pm * OPEN Dancing from 8-10:00pm       During open dancing we will play all types of music.....Waltz, Swing, Foxtrot, Country Two-step, Group dances, Night-club Two-step.   We are enjoying the VFW#755 dance floor. With out increased attendance we have had to take tables down and make the dance area bigger. There will be no dance or lessons on the Wed. July 4th, but the VFW is having a July 4th Celebration from Noon to 5:00PM. They will have BBQ, Brats, Hotdogs, Mac Salad, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Chips and Dessert. Hourly Door Prizes...Silent Auction and a Raffle for $300- $200-$100. Thus, we are able to support a local organization that supports our military. I am very happy to get this opportunity to have a Country Dance in Springfield. The time will be 8-11:00 because of their dinner schedule. Food is served from 5-7:30. Tables will be taken down so our floor will accommodate us nicely. July 13 All About Country Dance will be in Decatur at the Moose.The time will be the usual 7-10:00. This is an opportunity to celebrate change. Anyway, that's how I choose to look at it. Looking forward to spinning tunes for all of you!!!!

Welcome New Dancers...Central Illinois TV showing June 9 Saturday

Greetings Dancers: Just a note to thank all of you for attending Wednesday evening at the VFW#755. We had a total of 51 people and as you know the dance floor was full. All of you did a super job and I hope you will continue to come and have a great time. Dancing has been proven to help us physically, mentally and emotionally. I wanted to remind you to watch the Central Illinois program on ABC Saturday evening  June 9 after the news at 6:30 & 10:30 pm. Josh spent a lot of time recording us at one of the lessons held at Donnie B's. As you know, Jo and I will be gone to a workshop to learn new dances to teach to you when we get back. We have our recorders set so we can watch as well. Hopefully, they can air brush everything. Just Kidding! Again,  a big shout out to the new attendees. We are so glad to have you and want you to feel welcome. The more the merrier. Oh, the VFW is taking out a row of tables for next Wednesday so the floor will be bigger. They have also asked us to purchase our water there instead of bringing it into the club. It is a rule for everyone and I understand their reasons. The bottled water is only $1 and the drinks are very reasonable. It is one more way we can support our local veterans. Everybody wins! Thanks for understanding. This week George & Sandy Washbond will be reviewing the dance they taught last week call the Sweetness of You Love. The line dance they will be teaching this week is Cadillacs and Cavier. Don't miss out!   Hope to see you all there!!!!!   Next weekend Jo & I & the Washbonds are attending a dance workshop in Cape Girardeau, Mo.. If you are interested in going, I will have the information at the desk with Jo. These workshops are very informative, with great teachers, and really nice people. Junior Willis from Bean Station TN is the best...like great dances and lots of fun. John & Frieda Utzig from South Beloit IL have attended our dance at the Moose. Alice Daugherty from Shepardsville KY taught the dance Mojo Mambo that you all love so much.   This workshop is June 9 and includes lunch, dinner and the evening dance.
