Fw: Wednesday Line Dance Starts March 5, 2014 at 6:30

Greetings Dancers:

I am so excited to see all of you and share the many new dances I was able to learn in the last six weeks. We can dance this weather right out of here. Daylight savings time starts March 9. The first day of Spring is March 20.

I just look forward to sharing time with you all on the dance floor moving to wonderful music. Next Wednesday at the VFW in Springfield on the Old Jacksonville Road. We will start at 6:30 and dance until we drop. Don't worry....we will learn new dances and review ones we know or did know. Remember this is all for fun and socializing. I can play any type of song you would like...be it Ballroom, West Coast Swing, Triple Swing, Night-club Two between the line dances.

VFW HAS A BIG EVENT ON THE CALENDAR FOR TONIGHT. I WAS NOT TOLD SO WE ARE MEETING AT MY HOME 1309 S DOUGLAS. 217-836-1438 CALL IF YOU NEED DIRECTIONS. I AM LOCATED AT DOUGLAS AND SO GRAND. THE BUILDING IS ON DOUGLAS. WE WILL DO WHAT WE DID WHEN I WAS A KID. ROLL BACK THE CARPET AND HAVE A DANCE. LORA'S PLACE WILL BE OPEN ALSO.

Wed Dec 18 Potluck at 6:45 VFW Old Jacksonville Rd Review Lesson & Fun Fun Fun !!!

Greetings Dancers:
 

 Just a reminder to bring something edible to share with all of your good dancing friends. We will start eating at 6:45!!! Come no matter when or if you have food though. This is our last chance to dance together until March when I get back from Florida. This has been a wonderful year and we have done a lot of really nice dances. I look forward to seeing all of you. I know you are all busy but this is a special time for you. We all need time for rejuvenating ourselves!

Greetings Dancers.....Don't miss your opportunity to dance twice this week. We will be reviewing dances this Wed evening at the VFW in Springfield on Old Jacksonville Rd.. This Friday evening we will have the opportunity to dance at the Moose in Decatur from 7-10. Some of you alerted me that we were not listed on the calendar. I talked to Joe and he assured me that he is planning on us being there(the Moose in Decatur) Friday Dec 6 at 7( make that 6:45) so we can start the lesson at 7. George and Sandy are teaching a really nice partner dance and an easy line dance. I think they are headed to Florida soon after that. We will be having a potluck on Dec 18 at the VFW to celebrate life and dancing. Mark your calendars. Then, I am off to Florida for six weeks. Be there to send me off with lots of hugs! Hope you like this video. A good friend of mine sent it to me. This guy is great!!!! Marilyn :)

IMPORTANT SCHEDULING INFO FOR COUNTRY LESSONS AND DANCE FOR NOV & DEC 2013

Greetings Dancers:

There will be NO LESSON ON WED NOV 20. The VFW is having a special dinner for service men shipping out real soon and their families. We are so grateful for them and wish them and their families only the best. Do me a favor and make sure everyone you know is aware of the schedule.

I then realized that we only have 3 Wednesday night Lessons left in 2013. Can you believe it? I think we should just review, review, and review. What about a pot luck party on Dec 18? A kind of celebration for our freedom, our energy, our health, our friendships, and so much more. I will be gone for six weeks in Florida this winter, so we will resume our lessons on March 5, 2014....God willing and the creek don't rise.

Friday December 6 will be our last Friday dance of the year 2013. Joe assures me there is no double booking at the Decatur Moose on that date. I have to commend all of you for the way you so graciously handled the mix-up. In spite of all the confusion, we had a really super dance and learned some new dances thanks to George and Sandy Washbond. (We had them really cozy in the middle of our full tight circle....didn't hinder them a bit)

I will play on seeing all of you Nov 27. It may be difficult for some of you with Thanksgiving the next day. If you can't make it, I will see you the next week. Remember, dancing is a good way to relieve stress and pounds if you are planning on sitting and eating the next day. Just a little encouragement to show up and dance Nov 27.
