Country Dance Sunday Nov 15 Tomorrow 5-8:30PM Bring Food!

We will have our last Wed Lessons on Nov 18. Needless to say, I am heading out of town Nov 23 to be present with my Grandsons in Nashville for Grandparents Day. I will celebrate Thanksgiving with all of them including Audra. Since I am six hours south and east, I will leave there in time to arrive in Florida for Dec Jan & Feb. It is a tough life but somebody has to do it so I am up for the task.

Greetings Dancers,

Yes you read correctly!!! The VFW  has decided to try Me as a DJ for a Friday night dance tomorrow Oct 23 from 8-11. I will play all types of dance music. You will be able to Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Salsa, West Coast Swing, Country Two-Step, ChaCha, Etc Etc. I want to see how that Etc Dance plays out. Just kidding. Come on out and show your support of the VFW. We will even get Cupid to Shuffle and Electric to Slide!!!!

Lessons tomorrow night instead of Wednesday!!!

Greetings Dancers:

Wanted to remind everyone that the normal Wed lessons are tomorrow Monday Sept 28 at the VFW. There was a scheduling conflict for this Wed which very seldom happens. You voted to meet tomorrow instead of canceling the lessons. Our usual time is 6:00 starting with the beginner class. I hope to see you all there!

Just a reminder also that we have two Sunday Country dances scheduled to finish off this year.
Sunday Oct 18 & Sunday Nov 15........5-8:30
Feel free to bring snacks to share and have a great time doing many of the dances we have learned this year.

Don't let those voices in your head keep you from coming to the lessons! Everyone is welcome. We all learn in different ways and speeds. Just show up!! The rest will take care of itself. We all have a right to be happy and have fun. Line dancing is fun and makes me happy. I am learning everyday how to laugh at myself. I can laugh with all of you and let myself make mistakes. It is just part of life and learning. These last weeks have been phenomenal. Let's keep it up! :)

Special Beginner Lessons VFW Before Wed Lessons in August at 6-6:45 See Schedule Below

    The links for the dances we did last week and this week are below.


 I am so Excited! A special time is being blocked off on Wed evenings on August 5,12,19, & 26  at the VFW for Beginners to learn to Line Dance. Everyone is welcome to bring guests who are self conscious and timid about dancing. We do a lot of repeating so anyone is welcome. I believe dancing in any form can change our lives for the good. Line dancing is a great way to start. You are only responsible for yourself so you can take all of the credit when it feels really good. You can easily learn how to dance to the beat of the music because everyone is doing the same thing.... well most of the time. LOL!!! Sometimes we each make a little variation which could be called a mistake but we have different positive words to describe those moments. They can be moments of opportunity to learn to laugh at ourselves and just have fun.

The beginners lesson will be from 6-6:45. From 6:45-7 we will have a mixer dance so every one can get to know each other. From 7-8:00 we will work on a new dance or review ones we want to remember. From 8-9 we are open to take requests and just have fun practicing. This whole evening is only $5. There is no extra charge for how good you feel when you head for home.

 The Washbonds will be reviewing a flow dance for us during the 7-8 time slot.

I just want to say again that each of you dancers who come to share yourselves and be a part of this dance community are off the charts. Amazing beyond words! I feel loved and safe to be myself with you all and I thank you with all my heart.
