Wed Dec 18 Potluck at 6:45 VFW Old Jacksonville Rd Review Lesson & Fun Fun Fun !!!

Greetings Dancers:
 

 Just a reminder to bring something edible to share with all of your good dancing friends. We will start eating at 6:45!!! Come no matter when or if you have food though. This is our last chance to dance together until March when I get back from Florida. This has been a wonderful year and we have done a lot of really nice dances. I look forward to seeing all of you. I know you are all busy but this is a special time for you. We all need time for rejuvenating ourselves!

Greetings Dancers.....Don't miss your opportunity to dance twice this week. We will be reviewing dances this Wed evening at the VFW in Springfield on Old Jacksonville Rd.. This Friday evening we will have the opportunity to dance at the Moose in Decatur from 7-10. Some of you alerted me that we were not listed on the calendar. I talked to Joe and he assured me that he is planning on us being there(the Moose in Decatur) Friday Dec 6 at 7( make that 6:45) so we can start the lesson at 7. George and Sandy are teaching a really nice partner dance and an easy line dance. I think they are headed to Florida soon after that. We will be having a potluck on Dec 18 at the VFW to celebrate life and dancing. Mark your calendars. Then, I am off to Florida for six weeks. Be there to send me off with lots of hugs! Greetings Dancers:

There will be NO LESSON ON WED NOV 20. The VFW is having a special dinner for service men shipping out real soon and their families. We are so grateful for them and wish them and their families only the best. Do me a favor and make sure everyone you know is aware of the schedule.

I then realized that we only have 3 Wednesday night Lessons left in 2013. Can you believe it? I think we should just review, review, and review. What about a pot luck party on Dec 18? A kind of celebration for our freedom, our energy, our health, our friendships, and so much more. I will be gone for six weeks in Florida this winter, so we will resume our lessons on March 5, 2014....God willing and the creek don't rise.

Friday December 6 will be our last Friday dance of the year 2013. Joe assures me there is no double booking at the Decatur Moose on that date. I have to commend all of you for the way you so graciously handled the mix-up. In spite of all the confusion, we had a really super dance and learned some new dances thanks to George and Sandy Washbond. (We had them really cozy in the middle of our full tight circle....didn't hinder them a bit)

I will play on seeing all of you Nov 27. It may be difficult for some of you with Thanksgiving the next day. If you can't make it, I will see you the next week. Remember, dancing is a good way to relieve stress and pounds if you are planning on sitting and eating the next day. Just a little encouragement to show up and dance Nov 27.

I will be teaching the basics of Night-Club Two with a real nice amalgamation. I hope to see all of you since I so enjoy our time together on the dance floor. Bring your enthusiasm, dancing shoes, requests, and I guarantee you we will be tired and filled with joy when the evening is over. By the way, Ladies, we have two dance hosts coming from Champaign to dance with all of you!!!

She dragged me to Wed night dances when I didn't feel very loved or important to anyone. She understood a lot of what I was going through at the time. She has supported me ever since and has done wonderful things for the dance community. We all want to share this time of excitement for her on this new wonderful journey to  Phoenix Arizona.

 

 

We will be dancing as usual but I thought it would be nice to bring finger foods...be it hot or cold, sweet or salty, you can bring anything you would like. I think it would be a good time to review dances and just have fun dancing.

 

Also it will be a good time to come, since we will not be meeting on Wed evening for three weeks. I am going to be on a trip to Northern Michigan for a week and a half and the VFW is booked for a Military event the third week. That being said, there will be NO Wed night lessons Aug 28, Sept 4 & Sept 11. No lessons those three weeks. There will be a All About Country Dance at the Decatur Moose Sept 13 which we will all be ready for with the long break. That will be Sept 13, Friday, at the Decatur Moose and George and Sandy will be teaching Under the Moon again. It is a wonderful dance! The dates for the rest of the year are Friday Oct 4, Nov 1, Dec 6 at the Moose in Decatur.

 

George and Sandy Washbond will be teaching their classes starting Sept 24 through Nov 26 on Tuesday evening from 7-9. There is a $3 pay as you go fee. Classes are held at 600 East McDonald St in Mt Pulaski IL. We can car pool from the Road Ranger.

 

Also, there is a wonderful one day workshop held in Jacksonville on Oct 12, 2013 put on by the County Line Dance Club. There is a $45 fee for all of the lessons, Lunch and Dinner, and Open Dance that evening. You won't want to miss this one. I will have sheets for you Wed evening for this as well.
